I uploaded some ATM-related images to my Gallery pages. Most of it is new material but as I think about it, I seem to recall that one of them was posted several years ago, sorry about that if it's a repeat. My plan is to post a few from my "archives" (boxes in the basement!) periodically, as I come across them. I hope to have an advanced peek at the sub-assemblies for the new heavy-duty parallelogram posted soon, the one for the 100mm binos. It is too big for the Sky Instruments tripod, so I will be building a basic tripod to accommodate it for the time being. It can also be mounted on a steel or wooden post set in concrete, or on a deck rail. With luck I'll have at least one ready for Patrick to baptize at a Messier marathon. When I was on Little Mountain Sunday morning, Scorpius was high in the south, and the summer triangle was high overhead, an evening configuration for several months from now. Made my heart beat a bit faster, in anticipation of those warmer nights ahead... __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Very nice, Chuck! Your telescopes are works of art that deserve to be shown off in the living room, as well as used in the outdoors. Hey, while I was looking at the gallery, I came upon Don's latest offerings, great Saturn shots. I guess he was too modest to let us know when he posted them (or I missed it), but they're a treat. -- Joe
Thanks Joe. I took the Saturn shots on Feb 11. There was still a lot of moisture in the atmosphere and the beginning of an inversion, but the seeing was very steady. I am hoping for better conditions in the next few weeks.
