Re: [Utah-astronomy] Overwhelmed
Troy, I appreciate your point of view but I disagree. I believe this is a two way street. A new member could just as easily introduce himself/herself to the board instead of waiting to be found. Typically we ask new members to introduce themselves at club meetings and often ask what interest brought them out. You as a new member have some responsibility to reach out to members also and to show some interest in becoming part of the group. It wouldnt hurt at SPOC to re-introduce yourself a few times as a new member. Personally I am terrible remembering new names. Where and how you chose to fit in is pretty much up to you. Troy, IMHO all good and reasonable criticisms and suggestions. I hope the club members will take them to heart. Give the club another try and I hope to see you when the next season opens. Clear Skies and Merry X-Mas. - Kurt
Siegfried, Why the heck are you responding too, and thereby resurrecting, a thread that was last seen in December of 2009! If you are going to ignore the list for 10 months, you really should not start responding to dead threads from 10 months ago... Jo Quoting Siegfried Jachmann <ziggy943@xmission.com>:

I'm on the phone with Sieg now. He did not reply tonight and asked me how it could have happened. And I don't know. Just know he's not trying to start anything (at least not now). patrick :) On 06 Oct 2010, at 22:22, Josephine Grahn wrote:
