Tom Field OAS Spectroscopy Webinar
I wanted to take a few lines and thank Craig Browne, the OAS Pres, for arranging the webinar with Tom Field this past Wed. Tom is the author of the RSpec Real-Time Spectroscopy software. His talk was very informative and there was no hard-sell of his products. Some of you may have read Tom's article in S&T about webinar speakers. If your club hasn't already tried to arrange a webinar with Tom you should speak to your club executives and have them arrange for him to speak. It would be well worth your time. Clear skies, Dale.
As it happens one of the topics of conversation at this week's SLAS board meeting was having Mr. Field appear at a SLAS meeting via teleconference. Being an old, crotchety person I get nervous thinking about new fangled stuff like that. But it sounds like it worked well for you so maybe I'll be a bit less hesitant when/if it's brought up again at SLAS. And it was nice to hear the presentation was not an infomercial for his products (another concern expressed at the meeting.) Thanks for the report. Very useful. patrick On 15 Mar 2013, at 16:53, Dale Hooper wrote:
