Hey, that Orion's belt joke is funny. I laughed so hard I nearly had an asterism. Seeing as all three stars in the belt are multiple systems, the joke really gets 7 stars (out of how many?) - but that's getting a bit sirius about an otherwise stellar pun. My best (worst?) astronomy joke/anecdote... A student in Astronomy 101 is filled with anxiety when he learns that the sun will expand and destroy Earth in 7 million years, then sighs in relief when he realizes he misheard - the professor actually said it would happen in 7 BILLION years. Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson were sleeping out in the wild. At 2:00 am in the morning, Holmes woke up Watson and he asked, "Watson, look up and pray tell me what you presume." Watson replied, "I see a vast Universe, full of stars and wonder. There is Venus over there. And the Moon is half lit. I know that lurking at the center of our galaxy is a black hole, and that gamma ray bursts occasionally blast at us, that there are billions and billions of planets out there, some of which must harbor life. We are not alone." Watson would have continued but Holmes abruptly cut him off, "No, Watson, you idiot! Somebody stole our tent!" After much research and studies Scientist have found that the center of Jupiter is the letter "i" How do you know when the moon is going broke? When its down to its last quarter. I was up all night wondering where the sun had gone... then it dawned on me. Where does an astronaut dock his spacecraft? At a parking meteor. How do you get a baby astronaut to sleep? You rocket. I'm reading a book about anti-gravity, its impossible to put down. Why didn't the Dog Star laugh at the Joke? It was too Sirius. I better quit now, I'm going to get banned from the list. ;-) Jamie
