Bill, That sounds about right. I was pretty sure it mentioned a well that was not on the maps, but I couldn't remember which. Hope to see you there. Jo
We'll be out there; can't tell if where you go is the same one I've been using but it's close. I think the road we turn west on is marked Big Well(?).

Hi Jo: I have to admit that this "Lakeside road" means nothing to me. Where is it? How does one get there? I always thought Lakeside was the trailer community behind the truck stop, just around the mountain from Kennecot, on the road to Tooele. This sounds like it's on the other side of the valley, behind Grantsville. Can't make it tonight, it's my World War One aircraft meeting night, and I'll be going over my astrophotography set-up tomorrow night in preparation for Thursday (clouds will thus be assured. Sorry, it will be my fault!) I haven't had it set-up since Hale-Bopp, so I"m sure all my batteries are dead and it will be in need of adjustment. Thanks! Chuck, it's the road that leads from I-80 to the location on the Great Salt Lake called Lakeside. The road is paved in the part we're interested in because it leads to a section of the Utah Test and Training Range, an Air Force bombing range. It's about 60 miles west of SLC. You take Exit 62 to the north. Best wishes, Joe
