Thanks to Ann House and everyone who helped pull-off a terrific SLAS Solstice Party last night! It was good to see old friends and meet some new ones. Kelly and I came home over-stuffed but in great spirits, even though I didn't win the beer in the raffle. :-(
I didn't win the beer or the liver-onion feast, though I put in for both! But we had a wonderful time! -- Joe ________________________________ From: Chuck Hards <chuck.hards@gmail.com> To: Utah Astronomy <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Sunday, December 11, 2011 8:28 AM Subject: [Utah-astronomy] Many thanks SLAS Thanks to Ann House and everyone who helped pull-off a terrific SLAS Solstice Party last night! The Liver and Onions certificate was a stroke of genius. Kudos to whomever thought up that prize. (Rodger, I'm looking in your direction...) I think we're about due for another meeting soon. I have the entire week between Christmas and New Year's off, hint-hint. An event about as rare as a Venus transit. What say you, Sub-Director Bau? Other members of the subcommittee, please weigh-in. ;-)
Chuck, Don't look at me on that one. I am not that ingeneous. Yes, kudos to Ann and all involved. I spoke with Ann as I was leaving the restaurant last evening and learned she had already spoken to the restaurant staff about next year's Solstice Festival. That woman plans ahead! Regarding the beer, I especially liked how the fire alarm went off when the beer came out. Those folks at Utah DABC must have eyes everywhere. :) patrick On 11 Dec 2011, at 08:28, Chuck Hards wrote:

Except on their own books! Thanks Ann B., when are you and Craig coming to a L&O subcommittee meeting? ;-) On Dec 11, 2011 5:03 PM, "Patrick Wiggins" <paw@wirelessbeehive.com> wrote:
