My Best Comet Image Yet!
Hi all. I decided to try imaging the comet with a Micro Nikkor 200mm camera lens because I wanted a larger field of view than my Tak E160 provided. I am very pleased with the result. http://71.18.228.62/subpage57.html It is the top image on the page. I was able to capture the greenish halo and the blue tail as well as a nice star field. Comments are always welcome. If you haven't been out to look at this object, you really need to get your priorities straightened out! :-) Cheers, Tyler _____________________________________________
Excellent. Did you enhance the colors or do you think they are natural? patrick On 08 Nov 2007, at 22:32, Tyler Allred wrote:

Thanks Patrick, I combined the colors according to the proper mix for my camera, so they should be pretty close to correct, but I really stretched the data to bring out the subtle tail area. There is no doubt that the halo is greenish and the tail is blue. Gorgeous as usual Tyler; down here in washed-out Lindon the background star field visually isn't showing anything like what you've captured there. --- Tyler Allred <tylerallred@earthlink.net> wrote:
