Here is the weather satellite image I showed at last evening's SLAS meeting showing weather along 2017's eclipse track taken yesterday (21 August) at the time of day the 21 August 2017 eclipse will happen. Let's all hope for better weather in this part of the world in 2017. http://users.wirelessbeehive.com/~paw/keep/eclipsewx2013.jpg patrick
I guess we will just have to go to Nebraska, Kansas or Missouri :) I am really looking forward to this eclipse. I went to Libya for the eclipse there and really enjoyed it. I plan to be flexible on location. Right now, OAS is planning to hang out with one of our former members on his property in Idaho but we are waiting for all the reports, etc to come out. Exactly. Even going with seasonal trends, it's a gamble. Climate is what you expect. Weather is what you get. On Thu, Aug 22, 2013 at 8:15 AM, M Wilson <astro_outwest@yahoo.com> wrote:

Yes, you will want to be flexible, 4 years off, personally I would not commit to any location. I suspect chartering a bus will be complicated by ALCON and the fact there will be many places it will visible from.
