Stardust return - 8:00 pm weather forecast (last report)
At 8:00 PM, MDT (3:00 UTC), the first of two storms fronts is over Salt Lake City, without producing rain. Basically, this is a continuation of the 6:00pm report. Two bands of heavy rain are shown on the NOAA satellite loop approaching from the west - per the last 1:15 UTC NOAA CONUS image: http://www.weather.gov/sat_tab.php - one of which is currently centrally located over Salt Lake City. There is a gap between the first and second bands are over Wendover per the 2:30 UTC 1/15/06 NOAA Nevada detail satellite map: http://sat.wrh.noaa.gov/satellite/2km/lkn/IR2LKN.GIF - in - http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/lkn/ Comparing the 1:30, 2:00 and 2:30 UTC Nevada detail images, it looks like the backside of the second front, currently over the Calif-Nevada line, may clear Elko and possibly Wendover sometime around midnight MDT (6:00 UTC) - leaving partly cloudy skies in Elko and/or Wendover by 3:00 AM Mountain Time (9:00 UTC). - Canopus56 (Kurt) __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
