I just finished listening to a podcast of last Friday's edition of Science Friday. The subject was Nikola Tesla. In case you heard the piece and wondered about the Tesla cartoon they referred to, here it is:

Caution, there are a few spots where the language is PG-13.
And here is the podcast.

Hi Joe, Are you saying Nikola Tesla worked in Wendover? I do remember a rather odd character called Robert Golka who used one of the hangers at Wendover airport to do Tesla-like experiments with ball lighting back in the 80s but I had not heard about Tesla himself being in Wendover. patrick On 22 Oct 2012, at 18:40, Joe Bauman wrote:

I bet that's what I was thinking of, Patrick -- Golka trying to recreate Tesla's experiments in Wendover. Yes, I remember a hangar out there that had Tesla on the roof that could be seen from I-80. This was in I am pretty sure 1980; the guy worked with I believe ball lightning. I actually saw one of his experiments in Jun or Jul of 80, if I remember correctly. ________________________________ From: Wiggins Patrick <paw@wirelessbeehive.com> To: Utah Astronomy <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Monday, October 22, 2012 8:26 PM Subject: Re: [Utah-astronomy] Science Friday: Tesla Hi Joe, Are you saying Nikola Tesla worked in Wendover?
