Sorry about that last repeat of the digest! Why is the delete key right next to the enter key? Argh! Joe, I love the way you pore over every image from each new mission, looking for anything unusual. Now THATS investigative journalism at work! One day, you just might find something that a thousand engineers and technicians missed. On that day, "The Bauman Effect" will enter the scientific lexicon forever! __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? All your favorites on one personal page Try My Yahoo! http://my.yahoo.com
Hi Chuck, I'm all for that! Actually, I spent many years searching for a "baumani" organism -- that is, a fossil of a new species from the Middle Cambrian that would be named after the discoverer. I actually did find it. It was something unknown to science, a creature with three long frilly tails. A professor came to my house and I donated it, thinking it would be scientifically described. He took it to Kansas with him and it never was described and my name was never added to anything. But I have photos of it and I have the satisfaction of knowing I discovered something absolutely new to science. Thanks for the kind words -- Joe
