Nice Vesta approach and rotation movies
I saw another smaller green flash last night while driving west on 33rd south at 33rd east. This one was just a fraction of a second long, and more typical of the flashes I normally see. My family claims that I am seeing things and that it is nothing more than the remnant image of the sun on my retina. The duration is much too short for that explanation.
Brent, you also have about the best-trained eye I've ever encountered in the hobby. I completely believe you. On Sat, Feb 18, 2012 at 9:37 AM, Brent Watson <brentjwatson@yahoo.com>wrote:

No fair Brent! :) Actually I was out working on the plane last evening and seeing how nice the sky was and remembering your recent success with green flashes I took off half an hour before sunset and positioned myself out over the GSL, ready to start a quick climb at the moment of sunset to see how long I could keep the flash in sight. Great plan except from my vantage point there was no green flash. Grumble. Oh well, any excuse to get in the sky. patrick
Well, now you have the same excuse to become airborne on a daily basis. It should last until you see the green flash. After that it will be good for further study. ________________________________ From: Patrick Wiggins <paw@wirelessbeehive.com> To: Utah Astronomy <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Saturday, February 18, 2012 3:36 PM Subject: Re: [Utah-astronomy] Another green flash On 18 Feb 2012, at 09:37, Brent Watson wrote:
