Folks, the last few days there have been several list messages that are too large to be forwarded to everyone. The list-serve software captures them and notifies Rich and myself. Please take the time to edit your replies so that everyone can read your post. The main problem is people who subscribe to the digest version. The digest version waits until many messages have been posted and then sends them to a subscriber as one large email. Some digest sibscribers are simply hitting "reply" when they want to reply to a list message, not realizing that it is replying to the entire digest, not just the question or post they are interested-in. If you are a digest sibscriber, please edit your reply to quote only the specific post you want to reply to, not the entire digest volume. Also, note that non-digest subscribers can find themselves in the same boat by just hitting reply to an entire thread, instead of the most recent post. Please take the time to tidy-up your replies, and you will increase your chances that your posts won't get lost by either being kicked-out by the list software, or being buried in a lot of repetitious posts that aren't necessary to your reply. When I see a reply buried in page after page of previous messages, I don't even read it. I'm sure many others don't, as well. Thanks! Chuck Utah-Astronomy List Serve co-moderator
