Dear fellow members of the astronomy list: I just received a very peculiar note saying my membership in the list had been deleted due to "excessive bounces." It claimed my most recent "bounce," whatever that was, happened this morning -- when I had not even posted any note to the list. I am wondering what this means and whether anyone else got such a message. I was invited to check it out by going to a certain site on the Internet, but I am wary of viruses and did not go.
