And maybe ISON too later in the year. But anytime I'm talking comets I'm reminded of the old wise guy who said "Comets and cats have two things in common. Both have tails and both do exactly what they want to". We're in for a treat with PANSTARRS next month, and of course ISON this fall has the potential to be amazing. Yes, I do remember the hype about Kahoutek in '73. It cost me a girlfriend (I'd promised her a 6AM date would result in a life-changing experience... ummm... not so much). The media's disappointment with Kahoutek kept them from covering Comet West in '76, which was very bright but largely unknown to the public. But this Lemmon? Try as I might, I don't see how folks in the northern hemisphere will see anything until early May when it's a goodly distance from the Sun and down around mag 11.
