Joe, I was only replying to his "name calling retort". Frankly, I couldn't care less if he is friends with others on this board. If he is going to dish it out, he should expect it back. And I will repeat myself and then I am done with it. Global warming is not a scientific doubt. It is scientific fact. Good Day Sir, Jon
What if global warming is a fact (as it has been numerous times in the past) but humans play little or no part in it, Sir? Can you state that any glibal warming, assuming it exists, is caused by humans and that's a proven fact, Sir? Can you even demonstrate that any overall global warming has occurred in the past decade, Sir? You are pretty dogmatic about it, Sir. Anyway, Sir, I long ago learned the folly in expressing any doubt, even of publicly keeping an open mind, around those who are so intollerant of opposing viewpoints. So you won't draw me out again in this forum on the controversy, Sir -- or in your opinion, this non-controversy. Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android
Um, Joe, if I'm not mistaken someone using your name posted a few minutes ago that they were not going to post about this anymore... Time to give it a rest. No one is changing anyone's mind here. Time for popcorn and pasta with tofu balls. On 04 Jun 2014, at 13:54, Joe Bauman via Utah-Astronomy <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> wrote:

Joe: Actually correlation is rather strong and from multiple sources. One of the pictures that NDGT showed was a chart with a black squiggly line along the bottom that rises sharply along the right edge. I've seen this chart in other places and it shows data from arctic ice cores spanning two millennia. Along the bottom is where the CO2 is low, along the right edge is the sharp jump up in the last 200 years. This is crosschecked with data on pollen counts that give us a picture of temperature as it effects the plants as they bloom. Neal didn't spend much time on it because he didn't want to seem "preachy". Just showing the chart is enough to remind us where we stand in this question. It's as solid as the HR diagram. Remember back in the '70's when the tobacco companies were fighting back against the claim that their product causes disease and early death? They spend a lot of money telling us that the connection "isn't proven yet, we need more research before we restrict the industry". Sigfried has gone over to the conspiracy theories that the UFO crowd have had to resort to. He really believes there is a priestly cabal of evil scientist out to wreck our economy for their own devious reasons. Time to wake up and smell the coffee. DT

I don't drink coffee and NO, I'm not part of your UFO clan. Don't be telling me what I believe. I'll tell you what I believe. I do believe that climate data has been manipulated to show a pre-determined result. A result dictated by political goals. Charts based on original data are different than the charts included in the IPCC and Summary for Policymakers reports. There are inconsistencies in the reports. At this point it is dominated by bad science. Siegfried On Wed, Jun 4, 2014 at 7:39 PM, daniel turner via Utah-Astronomy < utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> wrote:

Even there we disagree Jon. You see, from my perspective, you are the one who started the name calling with the perverted spelling of my name. My calling you an idiot was giving your insult back. You are also an example of the science behind the global warming hoax. You have no tolerance for another point of view. It is the reason only one side of the argument gets any funding, i.e., no tolerance for another point of view. The name "Jon" doesn't mean much to me. What is your name?
