Hi Patrick, Well, I think that from now on I'm just going to start asking you how to take great images. M-51 knocked my socks off. As an aside, could you provide links to the freeware you mentioned (PicFix and Scrubber)? Thanks. Jerry Foote ScopeCraft, Inc. 4175 E. Good morning Jerry, Just back from a very wet evening at Bryce Canyon. Arrived under drizzly skies. Did my program and came out to pouring rain. But there's something about the international flavour of the audiences at Bryce that makes for a fun time regardless of the weather. Oh (off topic but interesting), and I also learned that while the bookstore at the Grand Canyon is still having to sell the book saying the canyon is only a few thousand years old the book has been moved out of the geology section and put in with the other books on mythology. Plus the Park Service is now offering a factual booklet about climate change. So, like I said, it was a fun trip. On 07 May 2008, at 12:18, Jerry Foote wrote:

Thanks. The picture's not quite "Tyler-like" but I'm working on it.

I have a new version of ColFix. Actually, the program is now called PicFix.
Here's the changes... · Program renamed to PicFix · The user can select individual files or an entire folder. · Added the option to repair the original files or to make copies in a "repaired" folder. · Added the ability to repair hot or cold pixels. · Added the option to save multiple default settings, for different bin modes. · Added a PDF help file.
You can download a new copy from URL… http://bf-astro.com/software.htm
