Re: Ogden's star party in St. George at the end of February Is this something our small, new St. George Astronomy Group could attend? We're still new so I don't know how many people on our email list of 19 will attend or what their expertise is - maybe just spectators or hopefully some will bring telescopes. I'm not trying to crash your star party - so tell me to back off if adding us does not fit. You and your group are welcome to come. This invitation is also to all astronomers. I will contact you off line so that we can hook up down there. Weather is not good this weekend but I'm going to get the refractor out next week when the skies are clear and calm. I'll probably set up at Anasazi Trailhead if anyone wants to come down for some sunshine and good weather. Lows have been in the 40s so observing is not too bad for the winter. Weather is not good this weekend but I'm going to get the refractor out next week when the skies are clear and calm. I'll probably set up at Anasazi Trailhead if anyone wants to come down for some sunshine and good weather. Lows have been in the 40s so observing is not too bad for the winter.

Re: Ogden's star party in St. George at the end of February
Is this something our small, new St. George Astronomy Group could attend?
We're still new so I don't know how many people on our email list of 19 will attend or what their expertise is - maybe just spectators or hopefully some will bring telescopes.
I'm not trying to crash your star party - so tell me to back off if adding us does not fit.
Thanks

I may get the 15" out if I feel like it. There is a lot of open clusters and nebulae that are not affected too much by light/moon pollution. The Orion Nebula, Eskimo Nebula, Cleopatra's Eye (NGC 1535) , M46-M47, M41, M93, they should show up well even with the moon. Love the winter milky way, but weather always is a problem.
