Hi! I am an astronomy teacher at Timpview High school in Provo. We host a star party every year at Big Springs Park up Provo Canyon. Our numbers have doubled this year and we are in need of some knowledgeable volunteers with telescopes to helps us out there! If you are willing to come and help us out at our star party I think you'll find that it is a very respectful and enthusiastic bunch. They are excited about astronomy and ready to learn! I am anticipating 200-250 people. Your help would be greatly appreciated! Friday October 28th 7-whenever people leave Big Springs Park: turn right at Vivian Park up Provo Canyon then drive 3.3 miles. Turn right at the sign for Big Springs and drive all the way up to the top of the drive where we'll be set up. E-mail me if you can come! Thanks, Rachel Benson

Yes, I already posted to this (and the UVAA) list last week. I have a few responders, any more are welcome, as we always have a lot of students show up to these./R --- On Tue, 10/18/11, erikhansen@thebluezone.net <erikhansen@thebluezone.net> wrote: From: erikhansen@thebluezone.net <erikhansen@thebluezone.net> Subject: Re: [Utah-astronomy] Timpview High School star party To: "Utah Astronomy" <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> Date: Tuesday, October 18, 2011, 1:31 PM
