I heard an elderly acquaintance say recently that tsunamis and earthquakes, and other natural disasters occur because the inhabitants of the affected lands are unrighteous and evil...(I'm not kidding, she actually believes this!) Those dinosaurs must have been VERY bad, indeed. ;o) I'm guessing that what's going to kill us all (besides ourselves) is when Yellowstone re-erupts and North America gets a make-over.
By that reckoning, everywhere I’ve ever lived should be a burnt-out cinder. Dave On Mar 21, 2011, at 1:14 PM, Chuck Hards wrote:

We know an elderly fellow who has mapped out his escape route from SLC to the Mexico border, figuring which roads would be least crowded when Yellowstone goes. -- Joe --- On Mon, 3/21/11, Dave Gary <davegary@me.com> wrote:

Hahahahahahahahahahaha.... Excuse me. (stifles laugh) Nope, won't work. Hahahahahahahahahahahaha! He must be one helluva fast driver!
Some of you may know of an obscure LDS prophecy that says that the Saints would eventually to return to Missouri. An interesting part of this prophecy (and this part may be apocryphal, i.e. simply LDS urban myth, but I'm not sure) says that we would have to do so with handcarts. I knew a guy in Orem years ago who kept a custom-made handcart in his garage for that purpose. It was fabricated of tubular aluminum, metal-spoked wheels with bicycle tires, and all the "comforts" that one could have on a... handcart. Even Brigham Young may be laughing in his grave at that one. So, getting back to astronomy... I'm sure I would have enjoyed the Larsen cartoons but I got hung up on the T-shirt ad. --- On Mon, 3/21/11, Jay Eads <jayleads@gmail.com> wrote:
