Re: [Utah-astronomy] Thanks Patrick...
'Twas fun. The launch sequence was almost like a Rube Goldberg device with things that just kept on happening. That alone was worth the drive down to the theater. -- Funny, but I couldn't help but think of that gag animation that came out right when Spirit originally landed. You've probably seen it. The RAT comes out of the rover and starts to spin. As soon at it touches the rock, the RAT locks up and the rover spins like crazy.
Thanks Patrick for the free showing of a marvelous movie! The House-clan took up 9 seats and was loved by all. I remember watching NASA TV 2 years ago and the nervous minutes of no contact after the Spirit hit the ground. It was great to see it again and rejoice when contact with the Rover was re-established. Those little rovers have been amazing. It is a must-see movie! -A

My favorite was the soft drink commercial that had an operator in the mission control room late at night dozing off and suddenly waking up to the sounds of a car alarm and looking at his console only to see one of the rovers up on blocks and all the wheels stolen. It's nice when NASA is the subject of such good natured humor. Patrick
