Re: [Utah-astronomy] No comet watching
I'm living in Oberlin where my boyfriend has a position teaching physics at the college. I'd never heard of Marietta (except for the one in Georgia), but that's not too surprising given that I'm still trying to learn all the little towns outside Cleveland. There's a great little astro club here, and I live two blocks from the college observatory, but the skies are nothing compared to what's out west. Still, I guess they're a million times better than what I had in Chicago for the previous two years, so I shouldn't complain. ~Kelly ------------------------------

Marietta, Ohio was the first organized settlement in the Northwest Territory, named for Marie Antoinette by the members of the Ohio Company led by the hero Rufus Putnam. To get there from your location, you would take 77 South until you see the world's most beautiful, beautiful, beautiful Ohio River. Really, don't get me started... and if you want to see some dark skies in Ohio, the Southeast is the place to go. On Wed, Mar 13, 2013 at 2:12 PM, Kelly Ricks <kellyalenericks@gmail.com>wrote:
