PK 38-25.1 A Planetary Nebula with a Background Galaxy in Aquila
I just updated on this on my blog at http://jaysastronomyobservingblog.blogspot.com/ I got interested in this object from an article I link to from Astrobite. If your a visual or into astro-photography this object offers a good challenge but a stunning visual image. Hope you check out the blog but more importantly I hope you might enjoy going after this object. It is a challenge from the reports I've read if you star hop so have a good star chart for it. Mag. 14.3 or so. The central star is mag. 19 + so don't go looking for that visually. -- Jay Eads I
That's neat, Jay. Maybe I'll go for it the next time I'm out. Thanks, Joe ________________________________ From: Jay Eads <jayleads@gmail.com> To: Utah Astronomy <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Monday, August 22, 2011 10:40 PM Subject: [Utah-astronomy] PK 38-25.1 A Planetary Nebula with a Background Galaxy in Aquila I just updated on this on my blog at http://jaysastronomyobservingblog.blogspot.com/ I got interested in this object from an article I link to from Astrobite. That is Abell 70. I observed it a few years ago, about 2003. I'd like to go after Abell 78 as well. There was an article in the June Astronomy magazine about Abell planetaries. I thought I would go after a few tonight since the conditions will be great. Debbie On Mon, Aug 22, 2011 at 11:57 PM, Joe Bauman <josephmbauman@yahoo.com>wrote:
