Hey group, I have this gig on the radio tomorrow to discuss the light pollution problem. It is certainly a topic that lends itself more to a visual forum but hopefully enough listeners have already been abused by aggresive lighting and maybe a ground swell of concern and activism will result. It's worth a shot. The program will air on 630 AM at 2:45am and go for 15 minutes. I don't know if it is a call-in format but if it is some of you might want to call in a give voice to the topic. Just so I'm sure, do you mean 2:45 am Monday morning or 2:45 am Tuesday morning? Patrick the Easily Confused
OOPS, most people are easily confused by me. I typed the "AM" frequency and stayed in that mode for the time also. It is at 2:45"PM" Monday afternoon tomorrow. Way to stay Patrick. You can go to bed now. Ron Patrick Wiggins wrote:

In an effort to confuse things even further <g> I'll note that since your message went out early Monday morning I'm guessing that should have read "2:45*PM* Monday afternoon _today_."
You can go to bed now. What?!? Bed?!? It's only 01:00 and the back edge of the current cloud cover is due to pass over in a couple of hours (hmmm, plenty of time to go get an early dinner at the truck stop).
Good evening! Patrick :-)
With Patrick's observing schedule, he's probably more likely to be up at 2:45 a.m. than 2:45 p.m. anyway!
I wish I could receive 630 down here. I have been so disgusted because DOT just finished a project though Gunnison and Centerfield. There are several acorn type lights per block, I mean several. Across the street from the new lights are some older type, they light up the roadway better, but these new ones light the sky and in fact shine in the drivers eyes. The Prison lights in Gunnison can be seen for tens of miles in any direction in this normally dark sky area. It makes for a good night flying reference though. Thanks for letting me vent.
