A little more food for thought: my former employer at the State of Utah has a cool web based application so you can creat a map and store it to a url. I just did a quick and dirty one for SPOC: http://mapit.utah.gov/viewmap?args&mdatum27&mbox=382801:4495947:397907:45059...
