Last month Rob posted a link to a web cam that keeps an eye on Kilauea. Up to now I've seen nothing but an occasional steam cloud. But I just checked and it looks like the whole caldera floor is breaking up. Impressive. Can't wait to see what it looks like in daylight. http://hvo.wr.usgs.gov/cam/ Thanks for the link, Rob. pw

Hi Patrick nothing on the news about anything big happening at Kilauea. the webcam image looks like a typical lava pond, I guess the wind shift has helped clear some of smoke and steam away, it ought to look nice in daylight. we have lots of smoke in the neighborhood from local fireworks though.
