FS: Televue Nagler 9mm Type I
I am selling a Nagler 9mm Type I eyepiece (this is the one with a 1/4" barrel and a 2" skirt). It is in superb, barely used condition. I'd love to keep it but it's a tad too heavy for my 10" dob so I need to replace it with the Type 6 which is about half the weight. Includes original box/packaging/caps & paper insert. Asking $185. Email: questort@attbi.com or Phone 377-8448. --Paul
Paul, I had the same problem with my own 10" when I first built it 13 years ago. My solution is a small counterweight that sits on a "peg" near the sky-end of the scope, when using small eyepieces. When I switch to a heavy 2", I just remove the weight, and balance is maintained. Some years ago, TeleVue came out with a heavy metal 1.25" adapter that served the same purpose, I'm not sure if it's still available. Chuck --- Paul Witte <questort@attbi.com> wrote:

I believe the brass adapter is the TeleVue Equalizer (though the Anacortes description doesn't mention weight): http://www.buytelescopes.com/product.asp?t=&pid=1133&m= dlb On Tuesday, January 21, 2003, at 09:01 AM, Chuck Hards wrote:
