I've been up since 4:30 am. Everyone who can make it to SPOC, have fun. I'll be asleep by 8:30. :-(
Wimp. I've been up since then, and I circumnavigated the Great Salt Lake. 'Course, I'm not out there either... Found some great dark sky potential spots while I was out though. Dan -- Sent from an iPad. There should be less mispelings, but more errors. On Sep 8, 2012, at 7:01 PM, Chuck Hards <chuck.hards@gmail.com> wrote:

Chuck, but, I was, as Carol & I rode with Dan. He dropped me off at SPOC about 8p, helped Fred (Thanks, Fred for volunteering. This week was the first one I had a hard time filling the operator roster). w/the Ealing, and really enjoyed the pancakes, courtesy of Rodger F. Got about 4-1/2 hrs sleep, then up & at it this AM. 73, lh -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Re: [Utah-astronomy] SPOC Tonight Date: Sat, 8 Sep 2012 21:45:47 -0600 From: Daniel Holmes <danielh@holmesonics.com> Reply-To: Utah Astronomy <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> To: Utah Astronomy <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> Wimp. You're also a lot younger! Enjoy it while it lasts. The years from 30 to 50 go by wayyyy to quickly. I got my blood-pressure meds changed last Thursday and it's taking some time for me to acclimate to the new meds. BP is way down again but I feel like my butt is totally kicked. It will pass. Before I read the details of your trip, I was thinking that circumnavigating the GSL would be quite a chore in one day. It has 10,000 miles of shoreline! (source: http://www.utah.com/stateparks/great_salt_lake.htm) You'd need to be traveling at close to Mach 2 to pull it off in 8 hours. And the vector changes would be incredible. ;-) On Sat, Sep 8, 2012 at 9:45 PM, Daniel Holmes <danielh@holmesonics.com>wrote:
