Many thanks to Tyler Allred for an interesting, informative presentation at last night's SLAS meeting. One of the best meetings we've had all year. I'm going to revisit some old images and am sure I can better them, with the knowledge gained from a world-class imager. If you were serious about that workshop, Tyler, sign me up! Thanks again!
I'm super sad I missed it - conflicting meetings. Did anyone record it? Will there be an encore? I second Dion's motion for an encore, if Tyler is willing. Great attendance last night, as well. I think we had members from at least 5 counties. On Thu, Nov 21, 2013 at 9:10 AM, Dion Davidson <diondavidson@yahoo.com>wrote:

Don, I really liked the shots of yours that were in the photo contest. You could teach us a thing or two about imaging, as well. On Thu, Nov 21, 2013 at 9:30 AM, Don J. Colton <djcolton@piol.com> wrote:

" You could teach us a thing or two about imaging, as well." Just what I learned from Tyler. Unfortunately during his instruction at Kanab I was wiped out after staying up most of the night and didn't retain all I wanted. -----Original Message----- From: utah-astronomy-bounces@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:utah-astronomy-bounces@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Chuck Hards Sent: Thursday, November 21, 2013 9:48 AM To: Utah Astronomy Subject: Re: [Utah-astronomy] Thank you Tyler! And as good as his presentation at the meeting was he (despite living an hour's drive away) graciously agreed to attend ATS after the meeting and was there until after 11 discussing his projects. One thing he committed to there was a lunar imaging session at SPOC using the Bogdan sometime next season. I'm looking forward to that. patrick On 21 Nov 2013, at 09:01, Chuck Hards wrote:

Tyler, dittoes from me. I agree from not only the context, but the high attendance, that you struck a chord resonating deep within the club member's interests. The photo contest showed some of the talent available to help us poor mortals. I trust the board, this year and next, will follow up on this interest. 73

Hi All, Thanks to everyone who attended the monthly meeting last night. I really appreciate the good attendance and the general interest in astrophotography. I always worry that I am boring everyone to tears, but you SLAS members are great and really made me feel welcome. Advanced training was a lot of fun too. And, thanks for all the kind words today. I hope something I said was helpful, and that your astrophotography efforts will benefit from your attendance. I am also happy to offer advice and help for anyone who wants it. I am a busy guy but I will help if I can. Clear Skies, Tyler
