When I had a 13"dob I made an off-axis aperture wheel with apertures varying from 2.5" to 5.5. The smaller ones for bright moons and the larger for planets. Jupiter definitely was more detailed with an o-a ap but if I wanted to see the maximum number of moons around Jupiter or Saturn of course then I used the full 13". Deloy
