I looked at the series of dark and light areas in New Horizon's latest photos of Pluto's surface. It appears to be a message. I think it says "Kilroy was here". Damn that Kilroy. If not that, I'm going with Chuck's assessment. Dave
Kilroy has always been a killjoy. Regarding the dark spots, a series of mountain peaks seems very odd considering Pluto's size and likely composition. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dave Gary" <davegary@me.com> To: "Utah Astronomy" <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Friday, July 3, 2015 9:52:35 AM Subject: [Utah-astronomy] Pluto I looked at the series of dark and light areas in New Horizon's latest photos of Pluto's surface. I’m odd considering my size and likely composition. Still going with Chuck’s assessment until NASA says otherwise. Dave
