Just thought you should all know that the Natural History Museum has sold out of all their glasses.
We have about 1,000 left. We (Clark Planetarium) open at 10:30 this morning, and that'll last us about an hour. We're getting strong responses to the promotion of local viewing locations. Not everyone can travel south. Many thanks to the folks from SLAS and the U of U for their help with the viewing "parties" at Library Square, U of U South Physics, Gateway, Sam's Club (Murray) and Dimple Dell Rec Center in Sandy. Remember your sunscreen! Seems SLAS could afford to buy a quantity. Giving away telescopes, but
no eclipse glasses?

It should be noted the 20 glasses I bought from Deloy will be given away from where I end up observing from. (with compliments from SLAS).

Good point, probably could've gotten them custom-printed with the slas.uswebsite, hindsight is 20/20. On Thu, May 17, 2012 at 5:48 PM, <erikhansen@thebluezone.net> wrote:

I don’t think there was any question as to if the club could afford it. The board of directors voted against supplying the glasses for several reasons. Steve
