I thought some of you might like this image taken by the 32-inch Schulman Telescope at Mt Lemmon via the University of Arizona by Adam Block. http://skycenter.arizona.edu/gallery/Nebulae/sh2_239 Phil Plait has an article on it at Bad Astronomy where I read and saw the item: http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/badastronomy/2011/12/02/the-gorgeous-birth... -- Jay Eads

By the Lords of Light, I am going to do some narrowband imaging using the 32-inch at SPOC one of these days. Amazed that no-one has yet. Or at least gone public with results. Yes, I know it's not a wide-field scope, but still, it's an imaging resource not being fully utilized by SLAS members. Narrow-band imaging renders the compromised location moot, for many targets. Helluvan' aperture for lookie-loo duty only. Thanks for posting that, Jay. Wonderful image.
