Not sure if this was posted while I was off-list. Paul Van Slyke's company has burned to the ground. http://www.observatory.org/
Wow! That is truly a shame. I hope he is able to get back into business again. ________________________________ From: Chuck Hards <chuck.hards@gmail.com> To: Utah Astronomy <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Tuesday, July 2, 2013 5:14 AM Subject: [Utah-astronomy] VSI burned to the ground Not sure if this was posted while I was off-list. He wrote that he's woefully underinsured, so at this point, it seems iffy. Paul's not a spring chicken. He made top-notch equipment, but it's way out of my price range. The only thing I ever bought from him, aside from one-off stuff in the old Starry Messenger, was his plastic finder, about fifteen years ago or more. I am saddened by this news. Paul is a gem of a man and his products were critical in the successful design and construction of my astrograph. I hope he can recover from this tragic fire.
