Well I am really torn this weekend. This will be my first weekend in a long time that I am not doing astronomy. On one hand I have my son's wedding reception, on the other I have astronomy................. What to do, what to do, what to do. I guess I will have to suck it up and do the right thing. I will see all of you at wheeler farm tonight and then at SPOC. (just kidding) I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I will see you after the wedding is over. what to do, what to do Mark

You know I tried the SPOC reception on them and it did not work at all. I just do not understand. Nice country atmosphere and just a bunch of us for standsberry days. Wheeler farm is the wrong day dang it. LOL We could have the big family dinner out there but it is to late to change venue location. LOL What do you do with kids that mess up your observing time. I guess you have to love them a little bit more than your scope. I hope all of you know I am just kidding around. I am back in the city and will probably make it out tonight. What time do you all show up? Is it free to get in? Where do we setup? Thanks - David
David, It is free to get in. Drive in the southern most entrance off 9th east. We set up on the south lawn to the west of the picnic area. I will get there about 7:00 PM to set up. I will watch for you. You guys laugh, but- it's been done. Maybe not at an observatory, but a planetarium. Ask Patrick. ;-)

Yeah, some of us on the staff used to refer to it as the "Hansen Planetarium, Space Science Library, Museum and Wedding Chapel". Trouble is, the spot where I got married is now O C Tanner's parking lot... patrick
