Re: [Utah-astronomy] Concrete Arrows
Patrick & Brent, I finally got the GIS site to work by going to the home page via Google. Anyway, I may be missing something here, but the arrows at exit 77 and 62 do not point down the flight path, not even close. Both of them point eastbound toward Ogden +/-. Any ideas? ------------------- Kelly, You said: "I don't think you sound crazy at all." I concur or I have to be included, or counted, as crazy, too. The arrow at exit 62 looks to my eye to be pointed at the arrow at exit 77. The arrow at exit 77 is pointed at the arrow near Lakeside, and passes the intermediate location. There is no arrow at the intermediate location, at least as far as I can see on the sat photo. It is interesting that the Lakeside arrow also has two stems. What does that indicate and where does that route come from? I checked with Pat Morley at the State division of Aeronautics. He's familiar with the arrows and said that one was the intersection for both the Los Angeles and San Francisco routes to SLC. patrick
