This causes some to say, "See? We are indeed created in His image." What will this conversation be like in 2507 or 3007? Will intersteller distances still feel so great? Will we be more flexible and generous in our interpretation of what "in His image" entails? I would like to believe that we will be more flexible. I would also like to believe that "others" out there who are vastly more technologically advanced are also vastly more advanced in other ways. On the other hand, our own behavior between 1007 and 2007 hasn't exactly kept pace with our own technology. That observation combined with what little I understand about the scientific method have helped me to maintain my skepticism.
