Compilation of 90 15" exposures taken 30" apart on 2011 APR 13 between 0802 and 0853. C-14 @ f/5.5, ST-10XME binned 3x3 and chilled to -10. FOV is about 18" x 26". http://users.wirelessbeehive.com/~paw/temp/2011GP59-01.MOV Video plays awfully slowly but my video skills are limited and I don't know how to make it play faster. If anyone would like to use the original images to make a better video just ask. patrick
This is a fantastic animation. The slow animation is really no issue as after the entire video loads you can simply grab the slider and pan through the video at whatever speed you want. Very cool. David On 4/13/11 11:04 PM, Patrick Wiggins wrote:

Patrick Am I seeing a rotation of that asteroid?? there's a rhythmic cycle to the brightness like a tumble or rotation, your video even being a bit slower is a better video than on the Universe Today site Good Show!! Aloha Rob
Bravo, Patrick! We can see it tumbling! --- On Wed, 4/13/11, Patrick Wiggins <paw@wirelessbeehive.com> wrote:

Great stuff Patrick! As David said, I just waited for it to load completely and used the slider to go back and forth. Very cool! Thanks Tyler, Joe, David and Rob for the kind comments. Sorry for the late reply but as some of you know I had my first TURP* yesterday and it really laid me low. But now thanks to the wonders of some fun little magic pills called hydrocodone the world seems a perfectly wonderful place to be. :) And with that I'm off through the daises to find a unicorn. patrick *This is a family list so no details here. If you don't know what a TURP is just google it. When talking to someone abut it earlier they said to make sure my shoes match my bag. ;)
Congrats, Patrick! I'm glad that ordeal is over -- hope they didn't use too big a drill bit .... --- On Fri, 4/15/11, Patrick Wiggins <paw@wirelessbeehive.com> wrote:

Thanks, but only if it were over. I've another session with Mr. Rooter next week. But back to the animation, a fellow called Dale Ireland on the IOTA list saw it and redid it. A bit less resolution but the file's smaller and runs a lot more quickly. http://users.wirelessbeehive.com/~paw/temp/2011GP59-02.MOV Now back to Strawberry Fields to look for that unicorn, patrick
FYI In case anyone's looking for it I've moved the animation and more details of the imaging run to the lower right corner of this page: http://www.slas.us/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=68&g2_page=6 patrick On 16 Apr 2011, at 01:46, Patrick Wiggins wrote:
