Dark Sky Observing This Friday
Well, now we have canceled tonight's trip out to Pit n Pole. The Cloud Curse of new mirror and new equipment has hit. Now we wait for new moon in November for those brave enough to join us then!
Jay, in my heyday we would observe in January, two feet of snow, and single-digit temperatures, at 7,000 feet. With no modern conveniences. ;-) On Oct 19, 2012 3:45 PM, "Jay Eads" <jayleads@gmail.com> wrote:

I knew as soon as I got the car loaded this would happen, past couple of nights have been nice and clear and cold. When my Pepsi freezes sitting in the back yard I know my ccd camera needs no extra cooling. I'll be up for the next dark weekend. Mike -- Such a long long time to be gone, such a short time to be there.
And the skies over the Heber Valley are once again clear. Mike -- Such a long long time to be gone, such a short time to be there.
