Cold Fusion: It's not just for breakfast anymore

Yes, I realize it's the same story, but the first was local. The second is essentially world-wide.

Cold fusion was a topic of conversation yesterday during the SPOC work party lunch. We agreed that regardless of what you call it, if one puts X energy in and gets X+1 out (and it's repeatable) it's something to look into. I also learned that one of the original SLASers, Jerry Montgomery (of Montgomery Observatory fame) has done a lot of study on the subject. I look forward to bending his ear at the next SLAS meeting. patrick
Isn't that what SLAS got out of volunteers yesterday. Work with no labor cost.
Anyway, Go Navy, I guess the Dept of Energy needs to reconsider their findings of a few years ago. IE: It was not worth persuing although the government appears to have persued it anyway. On 24 Mar 2009, at 18:40, Chuck Hards wrote:

An announcement about cold fusion at a meeting of chemists in Salt Lake City? I wonder if this presentation wasn't originally scheduled for a week from tomorrow (Weds).
Chris, Good point. It wouldn't be the first time someone jumped the gun on the Cold Fusion Topic. Rodger C. That's a lot of money wasted for an April Fools joke, if that's the case. On Tue, Mar 24, 2009 at 7:29 PM, Chris <slas@2nerds.com> wrote:
