It's actually looking better over the Salt Lake Valley. I may set up my small GEM and move the PST onto it, and off the tripod. Can use higher powers on the GEM.
Chuck, Your act of just suggesting that you are going to set up your new equipment has sent an invitation to the cloud GODS. Shame on you Rodger C. Rodger is right. As soon as I even looked at the GEM, the clouds rushed back in. Mark, I have to get to bed before it gets dark tonight. Can't make SPOC tonight. Bring yours to Winchester park on the 27th and Bill Cowles will blow us both away! I do like the double stack PST; all it really needs is more aperture. But I probably wouldn't spend more money on a H-a scope than I have already, about a thousand, in two installments over four years. Erik had a good point, in a year or three these scopes won't have much to look at until the next solar max in about ten or twelve years. By then there will be even better solar scopes available.
We will miss you. It is beautiful out at spoc right now. I am setting up the Coronado Mark Sent from my iPhone On Apr 5, 2013, at 5:27 PM, Chuck Hards <chuck.hards@gmail.com> wrote:

I'll miss all of you! The power went out at work this morning and we had to shut down. Have to make it up tomorrow. :-( On Apr 5, 2013 6:13 PM, "Mark Shelton" <astroshelton@yahoo.com> wrote:
