I'm taking a short break from Venus Transit planning and catching up on Utah Astronomy posts. Have I missed something or has not one soul posted anything about the successful launch of the Falcon 9 or the successful docking of the Dragon cargo capsule. It is kind of a big deal isn't it?
I agree, Steve, it is a big deal. But I'm thinking that since the government is paying for the launch and providing facilities, it's the same as if the government were building and launching Dragon itself -- except without as much infrastructure or expertise. Your thoughts? Joe: I couldn’t agree more. We paid for a huge percentage of it but it is a first step. And after all “Chief Engineer Scott” is now where he belongs ;-) and isn’t that the important thing?
