Thanks to a reminder from Dave Bernson I went out earlier this evening and saw Jupiter and Mercury right next to one another.
Frustrating that the clouds were lurking there so it took 7x35 binos to spot them at first but once located and the sky darkened Jupiter was easy but Mercury took some effort.
