I guess it's time to break out the windex. The only dark streak I see on my computers monitor moving diagnally from the upper left corner of the picture towards the center, looks like one of those cheezy arrows you see in the pages of the 'rag mags' which litter the magazine racks of grocery store checkout counters. But seriously, IF it is indeed a real photo of a meteorite coming in for a landing, it would be amazing. Speaking of cheezy, did anyone catch the image of the Virgin Mary in the grilled cheese sandwich that sold on ebay for $28,000??? I spent most of my time at dinner yesterday carefully looking over the yams, dressing and cranberries. I was looking for anything that would resemble anyone famous. I seen a couple images of local folks but nothing famous enough to stop eating. Just think of what the club could do with an extra $28 grand. If I carefully move some potatoes a little this way, and throw in a dash of gravy over there... Doh! Now it looks like Patrick! ;) Just kidding. Quoting Kim Hyatt <kimharch@msn.com>:
Did everyone else miss the faint, dark streak that moved diagonally from upper left toward the center (and alleged impact) in the frame? I suppose that a meteorite (meteoroid?) is a plausible explanation; if so, yes, it would be an amazing photo. However, I haven't forgotten Occam's Razor.

I had to go back and have another look, perhaps there was something in the photo I missed seeing. Sure enough. I missed seeing anything resembling a meteor. I agree with you Kim, amazing photo, no.
Have another look. See if you can't see it either... ;)
