Hi Dale, Yes, that was my plan. I started imaging the field about half an hour before the predicted window expecting to see a long, slow, gradual brightening (kind of like a very long Iridium flare). Unfortunately the published ephemerides were off by several arc minutes so by the time it drifted into my FOV it was already bright and stayed that way until it got too low in my sky to keep following it. Excellent animation! Were you trying/able to observe the brightening? I thought that was supposed to be a bit earlier - around 1150 - 1215 UTC? I suspect that the weather won't cooperate for the event tomorrow (0900 - 0925 UTC).
