I made a bino mount based on instructions in the August 1995 issue of Astronomy magazine. If you can get that back issue of the magazine, I would highly recommend making the mount. If you cannot get that specific issue, this instructable is pretty close to the same design: http://www.instructables.com/id/Binocular-parallelogram-mount/ Mat -----Original Message----- From: Utah-Astronomy [mailto:utah-astronomy-bounces@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Sue Ellen Ebertz Sent: Tuesday, April 04, 2017 10:31 PM To: utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com Subject: [Utah-astronomy] suggestions for large binoc mount (25 X 100) Hi everyone! I got to road test my new binocs tonight. The Orion nebula was gorgeous tonight through them. I'm happy with these binocs, but I don't have a proper mount for them. Since I am a photographer, I have a plethora of tripods, but no counterweight, and nothing that is securely holding these binocs still. Are there any suggestions out there, hopefully for some home-made rigs? Thanks in advance, Shoshana _______________________________________________ Utah-Astronomy mailing list http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/utah-astronomy Send messages to the list to Utah-Astronomy@mailman.xmission.com The Utah-Astronomy mailing list is not affiliated with any astronomy club.
