Tom, I was out with the 16-inch at Sundance all night Thurs. (packed it up at 3 a.m.), but the meadow behind timp lodge had a very obstructed Southern Horizon (tall pine trees!) so I missed that one, but there was a LOT of meteor activity that night -- I saw probably a dozen good meteors while observing; working on my Herschel 400 list, mostly in Coma Berenices between showing family members (we had a reunion this weekend) the usual Messier fare. But the thing that really got my attention was how it had a wide tail similar to a comet and as it was traveling, there seemed to be a slight wavering motion in the tail in which you could of fit two full Moons. My daughter who was with me just missed seeing it as I yelled "look at that- look at that!" If anyone caught it on film or CCD I'd be interested in placing a picture of it in the next NOVA.
