Remember, Einstein proved that the more massive you are, the slower time passes for you. Patrick won't be around long enough to worry about it. (Just kidding!) Even standard time has it's problems for those folks who like the sun to be in a specific part of the sky when they perform certain activities. Local Mean time, or solar time, is the time for those people. Of course, then you only share your time with those on the same line of longitude. Here in Salt Lake, we are about 28 minutes behind the leading edge of the Mountain time zone. Our sun is 1/2 hour behind the leading edge of the time zone, and 1/2 hour ahead of the trailing edge. There is a 1-hour difference in the solar position, in the same time zone anyway- even on Standard time. Since my life isn't currently centered on night-time activities, maximizing daylight hours works to my benefit. I wouldn't mind staying on DST all year long. At least until retirement! --- diveboss@xmission.com wrote:
You're retired. Why do you even care about time? Place "smart" clocks throughout the bat cave and you won't have to fret changing them anymore. ;)

Finally, Daylight Silly Time is gone!
Alas, it'll be with us even longer next year...
