Hi, I've now heard from two folks in St. George that the Toquerville exit 27 has a bad eastern horizon but that the Leeds exit 23 should work well. So what's say we all meet up at the Leeds exit 6:15? I'm to call my NASA contact at 6:20 so we'll all get the word at the same time if Columbia is coming down then or not. 6:15 should also give us time to find a spot away from the freeway and to get the cameras set up. Will you or any of your group be carrying a cell phone? If so, could I get the number(s). I'll be at 801.918.9092. How many vehicles in your group? I'll be driving solo. Clear skies (I hope) Patrick :-) David Dunn wrote:
Patrick,
There are now 7 of us from OAS coming south tonight. We are currently planning to stay the night somewhere between exits 42 and 33. We are bringing telescopes and plan to spend a few hours viewing before we sleep in our vehicles. We are then planning to meet you at around 6:30 at exit 16 to view the shuttle. Let us know if you have any change of plans. If others are interested in joining us for the star party, just let me know how to contact you and I will let you know where we end out. We are leaving at about 4:30 to travel south.
