Wish I had the energy to even set up a telescope last night. By the end of the day, my tank was empty and I couldn't keep my eyes open. Of course I've been told it was one of the best nights so-far this summer! And back to work for me tomorrow so that's it until next weekend. Grumble. Glad you had a good time, Shoshana! Happy Birthday in advance! Chuck

Hi All,
Just want to say that the skies were TOTALLY clear last night at Capitol Reef. And perhaps since we went down to celebrate my birthday a week and a half early, I was gratefully amazed by being able to find 7 objects (or more) in a row, when the past few years I struggled with finding anything!!! So I saw where it was on the map (S & T JUMBO Pocket Atlas and Turn Left at Orion) and bing bang bo.....I pushed manually to each one! It was a great celebration, and our air-conditioning in the truck broke on the way down, so you know coming back was something! Glad my border collie is alright! 8" Dob with 14 or 15 mm Plossl.
M13, M12, M15, ducks nebula, lagoon nebula, Pinwheel(have to check more on whether we found it or not, lol) M54, Andromeda Galaxy, and something I drew and not sure what it was yet....gorgeous very bright open cluster.
Just wanted to share excitement and happiness.
Oh yes, and meteor showers:)
All the best, Shoshana
